New York

Nearly all surgical procedures performed by Dr. Halaas in NYC are performed on an outpatient basis. Dr. Halaas has a surgical suite on the premises which is a JCAHO Accredited Office based surgery facility where patients may have their procedures. The facility is staffed by board certified anesthesiologists and it offers state of the art medical care in a comfortable, safe and private setting.

Procedures are also performed regularly at an outpatient surgery center with which Dr. Halaas is affiliated. In every case, patients are assured the safest and most comfortable setting under which to receive their procedure.

Consultations

Nothing can take the place of a face to face consultation with the doctor. However, in cases of patients traveling from out of town, it is not uncommon to perform the initial consultations electronically. Patients may submit electronically or by mail photographs of themselves, and through phone conversation, anticipated procedures can be discussed.

There is no charge for consultations.

Fees

In keeping with established policies by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, all fees for plastic surgery procedures are payable in advance. In cases where insurance is applicable, the office can assist with claims submission, and assignment of benefits may require only a deposit.

Office Hours

The office is open from 9am to 5pm Tuesday through Friday, with late hours until 7pm on Tuesdays. Visits are by appointment only. Call (212) 688-5955
