used for more than 10 years to both fill in facial wrinkles and augment lips. Collagen is injected under the skin using tiny needles. The procedure is virtually painless, and the results last anywhere from 3 to 5 months, depending upon the area injected. After placed into the lips, the fine vertical (smokers lines) wrinkles are smoothed out, ad the lips appear fuller and more defined.
Goretex is a permanent substitute for Collagen. This implant is inserted under the skin through tiny incisions, and once placed, lasts for a lifetime. Goretex can be used to loosen the smile (nasolubial) lines, or to better define and smooth out lips. Since using Goretex, Dr. Epstein has trained more than 30 physicians in the use of the implant, and has extensive experience with it.
