Fat transfer is a good option for plumping up the lips. However, over time, it will dissipate and the lips will go back to their normal size. I have invented a procedure where I take fat and dermis, which is a dermal fat graft, from the lower abdomen above the suprapubic area and place it into the lips and you get permanently enlarged lips that look very natural. The procedure is a little more extensive than simply injecting fat into the lips but it is a one-time procedure and gets you an excellent result. The other alternative is to use some sort of filler like Juvederm in the lips, but again that would be temporary.
